Rules for Exhibiting

1. Five levels of awards will be given in the regular classes: gold, vermeil, silver, silver bronze and bronze.* The show will be judged on a national level open show basis: an unlimited number of each award will be available to the judges. In addition, a number of Club/Society and Apple Harvest awards are also available to the judges. * "Spokane Tiles"

2. Each exhibit will be judged on its own merit. Categories have been established consistent with The American Philatelic Society defined divisions in exhibit criteria. This presents opportunities to exhibit in many areas not previously served. Included are picture Postcard Exhibits.

3. All exhibits must be the personal property of the exhibitor. Youth exhibits over 4 frames will be displayed in the General Class Section.

4. More than one exhibit may be submitted by any person. A separate Entry Form must be used for each exhibit. Photocopies of entry form encouraged and/or downloaded from the IEPS web site. Five copies of the Title page and/or plan page and synopsis page of each exhibit are to be sent with the entry form. (Copies will be provided the judges in advance of the show by August 15 2007).

5. Exhibit frames will hold 16 (sixteen) 8.5" x 11" pages, in 4 horizontal rows of 4 pages each. A maximum of 10 frames will be allotted per exhibit.

6. Entry fees for one frame are $15, two frames $20, three to seven frames $8.00 each with $6.00 each for 8th through lOth frame and $3.00 per frame for Youth Exhibits. Fee must be paid with the submission of Entry form. Checks are to be payable, in U. S. funds, to IEPS and mail entry form to: Anne Harris, Exhibits Chairman, Apple Harvest 2007, 20908 W Bannock Ave, Medical Lake WA 99022.

7. No refund of entry fees shall be made after September 1, 2007 for any reason.

8. The exhibits will be judged by a panel of three APS or equivalent accredited judges. The decisions of the judges will be final.

9. Entry Forms are due by August 1, 2007. Provided frames are available, Entry forms will be accepted through September 15. In such cases the Judges may not have the opportunity to examine advance copies of the title and synopsis pages. (Entries may close earlier due to frame limitations.)

10. Exhibits sent by mail should be sent insured, registered or express mail and should be sent to arrive no earlier than September 17th and no later than September 19th, 2007. Exhibits to be mounted by the exhibitor must be delivered at the Red Lion Inn at the Park between the hours of 8 and 10 AM on September 21st.

11. For exhibits to be returned by mail, adequate return fees must be included with the entry form. Registration, express mail or insured mail requiring a receipt is required. Otherwise the exhibit will be returned express mail collect. Exhibits to be picked up in person will be released after 4 PM on September 23rd.

12. Exhibits are to be mailed to Inland Empire Philatelic Society, Box. 3731, Spokane, WA 99220.

13. Precautions will be taken to safeguard exhibits. Insurance is the responsibility of the exhibitor. The host committee, the Inland Empire Philatelic Society, the Red Lion Inn at the Park, their agents, officers, employees, volunteer or paid assistants or any other person authorized to perform any task in connection with the exhibits shall NOT be liable for damage or loss or claim thereof of any kind or for any reason whatsoever.

14. All exhibit material must be enclosed in a transparent protective sleeve and be numbered on the back in sequential order.

15. The show committee will not guarantee exhibiting an entry which is late in arriving.

16. Signing of the entry form conveys acceptance of the Rules for Exhibiting in Apple Harvest 2007.
